Privacy Policy

Last updated March 16, 2026

This policy describes how Atlanta Food System handles account, request, and operational data for the pilot platform.

What we collect
We collect the account details needed to operate the pilot, including your name, email address, Google-based sign-in identity, profile details you provide, organization membership data, request and coordination records, and notification preferences.
Location and request context
If you choose to share location, we use it to match you with nearby providers. We also store the request context you submit, including household information, dietary needs, urgency, and provider-linked request history.
How we use data
Atlanta Food System uses this data to onboard users, route requests, coordinate fulfillment, manage organization access, secure the platform, investigate operational issues, and measure pilot performance.
Who can see your data
Beneficiary request details are shared with the provider organizations and staff involved in fulfilling that request. Internal AFS operations staff may access platform records needed to administer invites, monitor pilot state, and support troubleshooting.
Service providers
We rely on service providers that support authentication, application hosting, and messaging workflows, including Google sign-in, Better Auth session handling, Convex application infrastructure, and configured notification delivery providers.
Retention and contact
We retain pilot data for operational, security, audit, and program-learning needs for as long as reasonably necessary. If you have a privacy question about the pilot, contact the Atlanta Food System team before continuing to use the platform.
